It should be pointed out that the only client that Synaptics has managed to mark for its sensors is Samsung, if that forecast is to be fulfilled, it would have to be the Koreans who convey the product. Mr Bergman said that “using a fingerprint ID sensor on small curled display is not really big challenge “, which adds more belief to those stories. Samsung is the only company to release a curled display wearable. Interesting information brought by CEO is that Synaptics is going to announce its first area type fingerprint scanner in the second half of this year.

This sensors work in the same way as Touch UI. This may also indicate that the upcoming Galaxy Note 4 could take benefits of an area based scanner, as opposed to a swipe element.  You need only to place your finger over them, rather than swipe it. The manufacturer has provided only swipe based scanner yet now and excluding Apple, Synaptics holds 90 Percent market share in the smartphone fingerprint sensor section. Bergman said about a potential business with Apple, Synaptics would love to deliver its technology to the Cupertino based giant. Whether this remains to be stay or not?
