Unbreakable mobile screens revealed for smartphones

In this week we heard news about mobile screen that scientist has made mobile screen that is unbreakable, remarkable. After hearing this news first word echoes in our mind is about “Gorilla glass”, which is renounced by the fact the Gorilla itself cannot break the glass, but we don’t need Gorilla glass because unbreakable has replaced this. Scientists have invented a glass that cannot be broken down by living, non-living or even Gorilla. But trust me these claims are not fully trustworthy, if you try and try, I think you will break it, because nothing is impossible.

Akron scientists are claiming that in this screen they have used transparent electrodes which will make it a true unbreakable screen for mobile and it is considered the hardest till date. They used the exact word “shatterproof”.  Researchers are stating that this technology will provide the most rugged, tough and flexible scree when coating a transparent electrode layer on a polymer surface. This cost-effective, tough and economical material can replace the use of indium tin oxide which a scarce supplies now.

Now, most screens contain conductive substance which is called indium tin oxide (ITO), which is also used in plasma TVs along with smartphones. It is limited in supply and hence expensive and also fragile. These issues might be solved in by this technology.

Scientists has created transparent electrodes layers and sandwiched over to a layer of polymer. That resulted in super-tough screen which stood up in brutal testing, and it more affordable and not limited in supply.

Zhu, UA assistant professor of Polymer science is consider this as cost-effectiveness and flexibility will provide substitute ITO and provides conductive transparent film. He is expecting this as true emerging ITO competitor in the market. This will solve the annoying problem of mobile cracking with this flexible touchscreen. Official announcement is unpredictable as of now.

Scientists have made an durable and elastic screen such that it can bear the thousands bend trails in its elasticity. In short, I think this is a revolutionizing factor in the smartphone industry, if it truly exhibits the promised toughness and elasticity.
