Cyanogen is an open source android based mobile platform. This platform is based on official released android with additional third party code. Cyanogen is getting popular, even Oppo and OnePlus has also acquired in their high end mobiles.

There are huge following to this third party raised software, many big giant are willing to team up with Cyanogen. There are suggestions that tech Microsoft, Amazon, Samsung and Yahoo is communicating for Cyanogen.

Microsoft may launch custom Android service of their own instead of Google services. Just imagine Nokia X user can use Microsoft outlook instead of Gmail, Google map may be replaced by Bing map, Drive to One Drive. The Microsoft CEO Nadella has a focus behind window.

Yahoo is looking for growth in future mobile industry. It also wants to have its own custom system so that Yahoo can make use of it wide range of services. Company has also acquired vast catalog of Android apps so that it could be tied up to that platform.

The exclusive touchWIZ UI in Samsung, it could make use of tons of apps. They could launch Cyanogen with web services. For Amazon it could be to boost up the power of fire OS with Cyanogen.
