Now it is possible to run ios applications on android. The students of Columbia University were successfully working on this project. In this project they developed a compatibility Layer which allow the ios applications run on android. The computability layer is also known as Cider. This software is on initial stage is slow and not working as they can. So later on it may able to work fast. Now we see that what cider is.

CIDER:

It is an operating system with compatibility architecture that can run Ios applications on android Phone along with android apps. These applications can run on smart phone or Tablet. The cider also enhances the domestic operating system. It contains combination of binary compatibility techniques .Cider has two working mechanisms which are discussed as below:

First one is Compile-time code adaptation and second is diplomatic functions.

In compile code adaptation the unchanged code i-e able to reuse in domestic kernel and this code is necessary for the binary interface which need to execute domestic and foreign applications.

In diplomatic functions foreign applications are allow using domestic libraries and it help the cider to reach the software and hardware interface.

One good thing for customer for verification of this that the team who working on this project is uploaded a video for demo working. The customer can see it on internet.

The ios applications are easily run along the android software. Few problems occurred in this project in which first one is performance or quality which is already discussed. Along with some other issues may be come in which ios applications are unable to access most commonly used hardware like GPA and cellular connection. As already discussed the working at a software” Cider” is not stop and it is currently in progress .No doubt this is a great achievement of six Columbia university to invent a such a useful project.
